Mr. Robert Cantu has been a middle school Special Education Teacher at the Pontiac Academy for Excellence, since September 2008. He has previously worked as a Substitute Teacher for Utica, Rochester, and Avondale School Districts. Mr. Cantu has also worked as a Mental Health Technician in the Psychological Unit for over two years at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, MI. Mr. Cantu received his Bachelors Degree at Oakland University in Psychology in 2001, his teaching certifications were completed at Wayne State University in 2006, and 2007. Mr. Cantu is currently in the process of completing his Masters Degree in Education at Wayne State University. When not working Mr. Cantu enjoys spending time with his children, and coaches a mini-mite ice hockey team, and is currently a goaltender himself with the Wayne State University Medical Team.
