When I started Oakland University, I thought that I wanted to work in the business field. I finished my Bachelor’s degree and decided that the office life was not what I was interested in. I became a teacher assistant as a part-time job while attending university. During the following years of teacher assisting, I realized the importance and satisfaction of being an educator. I enjoyed watching my students as they progressed from year to year. After graduating, I decide to return to Oakland where I earned my Teaching Certification in Elementary Education. I plan to return to university a third time for my Master’s degree.
