Making and teaching art keeps me both happy and fulfilled! Expressing ideas, seeing imagination on paper, and facilitating the creative process are rewarding experiences I’m lucky to have every day. It is my belief that art is for everyone, and that finding an original voice in art is what it’s all about.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Eastern Michigan University and my teaching certification from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Prior to teaching at Pontiac Academy for Excellence, I taught K-12 drawing and clay classes through the Ann Arbor Art Center. Additionally, I received a minor in Dance, and taught creative movement classes for children.
In my free time I enjoy reading, writing and illustrating children’s stories, painting, drawing, singing, and playing guitar in a band. I also love animals and the great outdoors!
