Mrs. Flowers earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Ferris State University in May 2001. The following fall she enrolled in the School of Education as a graduate student and selected the Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction as her course of study. She graduated in May 2003 and completed her final graduate course the following summer and received her Masters degree in August 2004.
Mrs. Flowers began teaching in Ferndale Public Schools at the Ferndale Alternative High School in August 2003 where she taught computer courses to 16-20 year old students. In August 2005, she was offered the opportunity to teach English at Pontiac Academy for Excellence, where she has taught 7th and 8th grade Literature until this past June. In June, Mrs. Flowers was promoted to Coordinator of Middle School Education and is excited about servicing the entire middle school student body.
