When I started Oakland University in 1996, I thought that I wanted to work in the business field. However, after finishing my Business Administration degree, I decided that business was not what I was interested in. In 1999, I became a substitute teacher as a part-time job while attending college. During the following three years of substitute teaching, I realized the importance and satisfaction of being a teacher. I loved watching my students as they progressed from year to year. After graduating in 2002, I decided to return to Oakland where I earned my Teaching Certification in Elementary Education. In 2008, I earned a Master of Arts in Education, Administration and Supervision Degree from University of Phoenix. I am currently the computer teacher for the elementary school.
I frequently participate in after school activities, including tutoring, board meetings, committees, etc. Outside of school, in my spare time enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
